Perinatal therapist. Therapy during pregnancy and postpartum in Nashville and online.

Hi, I’m Jessica Cameron, LCSW (she/her), a licensed therapist who supports pregnant people and parents experiencing mood and anxiety disorders during the perinatal period and beyond.

The perinatal period refers to the time during pregnancy and one year following the birth of a child. While often unrecognized, mood and anxiety disorders, such as depression, anxiety, and OCD, constitute the largest medical complication during this period.

My Approach

As a parent who has navigated pregnancy and postpartum twice, I get it. Parenting is hard! I bring sensitivity to the unique challenges that this phase of life presents. I also recognize the importance of support from family and community during this period and strive to help empower clients to tap into those sources of support.

Therapy during the perinatal period represents an opportunity to alternate between creating pace for change and holding space for healing. I offer practical strategies to optimize wellbeing during this time of tremendous physical, mental, and emotional transition.
